Terms of use
Effective 30 October 2026 · plan last changed 19 October 2026
These terms cover the Sweepsy website, the Sweepsy Shopify app, the brand dashboard and the public pages where shoppers enter and check a draw.
Who we are
Sweepsy is operated by L.T.B. capital ltd, a company registered in Cyprus under number HE 489022, with its registered office at 28is Oktovriou 261, View Point Tower, 8th floor, 3035 Limassol, Cyprus. Email help@trysweepsy.com. "Sweepsy", "we" and "us" mean that company.
Agreeing to these terms
You agree to these terms when you use the website, install the Shopify app, create or use a brand account, or enter a draw. If you act for a company, you confirm that you may bind it.
If documents conflict, this order applies: first the official rules of a campaign, for how that promotion runs for entrants; then the Sweepsy service agreement signed by a brand; then the billing terms and the refund policy; then these terms. The privacy policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.
The service
Sweepsy runs shared prize draws for the customers of participating Shopify stores. A shopper who buys from a participating store, or who uses the free entry route, receives entries into the draw. For catalogue prizes, Sweepsy is the promoter and sponsor: we publish the official rules, run the free entry route, run and verify the draw, check winners, fund the prize and deliver it. The merchant is a participating store. The merchant does not fund or ship that prize and is not the promoter.
Not gambling
A free entry route is included in every campaign. No purchase is necessary. A purchase does not improve the chance to win beyond what the official rules state. Odds language appears only in official rules. Sweepsy is not a casino, lottery operator, or betting service.
Shoppers and entrants
The official rules of each campaign are the contract between the entrant and the promoter named in them. They name the territory, the eligibility conditions, the entry methods, the prize, the odds and the draw date. Campaigns are open to residents of the United States aged 18 or over, unless the official rules of a campaign say otherwise. Where the law of your state or country does not allow a promotion, you may not enter.
Each person may hold entries in their own name only. We may remove entries made by automated means, under a false identity, or in breach of the official rules, and we may disqualify the entrant.
Merchant duties
A merchant must keep the storefront widget honest, must not hide the free-entry route, must show the entry message only in the form Sweepsy supplies or approves, and must not change published rules, the odds or the prize description. A merchant must not state that a purchase increases the chance to win beyond what the official rules say. Launch is blocked when machine checks fail, including commercial approval and territory registration ceilings. A merchant fulfils its own orders; Sweepsy has no part in the merchant's products, shipping, returns or customer service.
Accounts
Keep your sign-in details secret and tell us at once if someone else uses your account. You are responsible for what is done through your account until you tell us. We may ask for company details and documents to verify a brand, and we may refuse or close an account that fails the check.
Fees
A participating brand pays two charges: a campaign fee through Stripe, and 3% of net product revenue, after discounts and refunds, excluding tax and shipping through Shopify, capped at $50,000.00 per campaign for each brand. The billing terms set out both charges and when each is due, and the refund policy covers refunds. Free entries are never billed. All amounts exclude taxes. The brand pays any taxes that apply, except taxes on our income.
Draws
Winner selection uses a sealed, replayable draw. We publish the commitment before the draw and the result and procedure after it, on a public verification page. A live campaign will not stop counting entries because billing failed. A cancelled billing plan under a live campaign is an operations issue, not a silent drop of tickets.
Content and licences
Sweepsy owns the software, the website, the widget, the rules templates and the Sweepsy name and marks. A merchant receives a free, non-exclusive licence to show the Sweepsy widget, name and entry message on its store for the duration of its campaign. A brand gives Sweepsy a free, non-exclusive licence to use its name and logo to list it as a participating store during the campaign and for 12 months after it. Each party keeps all other rights in its own marks and content.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to run a promotion that is not permitted in its territory, to enter a draw with false or automated entries, to probe or attack our systems, to scrape personal data, or to copy the service. Do not use the API or the MCP tools beyond the limits and purposes in their documentation. We may suspend access that breaks this section.
Shopify and Stripe
The Shopify app runs inside Shopify and is subject to Shopify's terms. Shopify bills the revenue share. Stripe processes the campaign fee under Stripe's terms. We do not control these services, and an outage of either is outside our control. Entries promised by the official rules are still counted during such an outage.
No warranty
We provide the website and the app with reasonable skill and care. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we provide them as they are, without any other warranty, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise a level of sales, entries or revenue. The guidance pages on this site, including the FTC disclosure guide, are information, not legal advice.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything the law does not allow us to limit. Consumers keep every right that the law of their country gives them.
Apart from that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of revenue or indirect loss. For a brand, our total liability for a campaign is set in the service agreement. For any other use of the website or the app, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if you paid nothing.
A merchant indemnifies Sweepsy against claims, fines, losses and costs that come from the merchant's products, orders, shipping, returns or customer service, from a breach of the Merchant duties section, or from the merchant's breach of the law.
Suspension and ending
You may stop using the website at any time and may uninstall the app. A brand's campaign ends as the service agreement says. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, the official rules or the service agreement, if a company check fails, or if the law or Shopify's policies require it. Fees already due stay due. Entries promised to shoppers by published official rules are honoured, and the draw for a live campaign is completed.
Law and disputes
The laws of the Republic of Cyprus govern these terms, and the courts of Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction, except that a consumer may rely on the mandatory law and courts of the country where the consumer lives. A dispute under a signed service agreement follows the dispute clause of that agreement. Official rules for each campaign name the sponsor, the territory and the prize, and those rules control the promotion. Country-specific legal review is still required before a live prize in a new market. These website terms are not legal advice.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We post the new version here with a new effective date and keep the previous dates. For a change that affects a brand's rights, we email the brand at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you keep using the service after that date, the new terms apply. A signed service agreement changes only as that agreement says.
