Sweepsy vs PineRaffle

PineRaffle is the cheapest way to test whether a raffle moves your orders. Sweepsy is what you do once the answer is yes.

Invite only. We review every request by hand. No monthly fee.
PineRaffle figures are taken from its Shopify App Store listing ↗, checked 20 September 2026.

The short answer.

Choose PineRaffle if…

  • You have never run a raffle and you want to find out cheaply whether it works.
  • Your prize is one of your own products and you are happy to ship it yourself.
  • You want it live this afternoon with no call and no review.
  • One raffle at a time is all you need.

Choose Sweepsy if…

  • You already ran a raffle and the prize was the ceiling.
  • You want a prize worth more than your whole marketing budget.
  • You want rules written for the campaign rather than copied from another store.
  • You want the winner contacted and the prize delivered without your team touching it.

An app gives you the mechanic.
A campaign gives you the prize.

PineRaffle is software you operate.
Sweepsy is a campaign our team runs with you.

  1. Your order

A customer buys from your Shopify store. Nothing changes in your checkout.

  2. Their tickets

The order becomes tickets within seconds. Refunds and cancellations remove them.

  3. One sealed draw

The entry list is frozen and hashed, the draw runs once, and anyone can replay it.

The subscription is not the cost of a sweepstakes. The prize, the official rules, the registration where a territory requires it, the winner contact and the delivery are the cost — and in all four of these apps every one of them stays with you.

Sweepsy charges no monthly fee. The terms are agreed with you on one call before anything launches, and the plan billed through Shopify is published in full.

Where PineRaffle is the better choice.

PineRaffle is by a long way the cheapest of the four and it carries the Built for Shopify badge. Purchase-based entries, per-product ticket values, a storefront widget and Klaviyo notifications all arrive for $9.99 a month, and it installs in an afternoon with no call and no approval. For a first test with a prize out of your own stock, it is the right tool and Sweepsy is not. Plenty of brands should start here.

And where the two genuinely differ.

  1. This is a sequence, not a fight. You proved the mechanic works for $9.99. Sweepsy brings brands into a shared campaign. BFCM26 has a planned $100,000 shared prize pool, rather than a separate prize funded by each store.

  2. A raffle also creates obligations the widget does not carry: official rules, a free entry route, a winner who has to be contacted, and a prize that has to arrive. Sweepsy drafts and publishes the rules for each campaign and its Prize Desk delivers the prize.

  3. PineRaffle runs one raffle at a time until the $39.99 Pro plan. Sweepsy runs one campaign properly rather than several at once, so this is a difference in shape as much as in price.

What the first weeks look like.

  1. 1. Request access

Tell our team about your store, your order volume and your campaign.

  2. 2. One call

We agree the prize, the scope and the terms. If the pool is not right for you, we say so.

  3. 3. Your workspace

Accept your invitation and open your campaign, entries, rules and winners in one place.

  4. 4. Launch

We draft and publish the rules, connect your store and your email tools, and run the draw.

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Talk with our team
Is Sweepsy a Shopify app I can install today?

No. Sweepsy is invite only and we review every request by hand. You tell us about your store and your campaign, we talk it through on one call, and your workspace opens after that. If the pool is not right for your store, we say so.

Who is responsible for the official rules and the winner?

Sweepsy drafts the official rules for each campaign, publishes them for every shopper to read, and handles registration and bonding with you where a territory requires it. Our Prize Desk contacts the winner and delivers the prize.

Can a customer check that the draw was fair?

Yes. The entry list is frozen and hashed before the draw runs, and the draw runs once from a sealed seed. Anyone can replay it at trysweepsy.com/verify and get the same winner.

Do my customers have to buy something to enter?

No. Every campaign includes a free entry route hosted by Sweepsy. Free and purchase tickets join the same draw pool with the same chance per ticket, and each campaign's official rules state eligibility and entry limits.

We ran a PineRaffle campaign already. Does any of it carry over?

The proof does. You know what a raffle does to your order volume and your list, and that is what the call starts from. Entry data does not transfer — a Sweepsy campaign runs its own draw under its own published rules, and mixing entry lists would break the draw anyone can replay.

Is Sweepsy overkill for a small store?

Often, yes. Sweepsy is built around one large campaign with a prize a single store could not fund, and it is invite only for that reason. If your store is small and your prize is one of your own products, an app like PineRaffle is the better fit and we will say so.

We will tell you if the pool fits.

Sweepsy is invite only and we review every request by hand. If an app like PineRaffle is the better answer for where your store is today, we will say so on the call.
